CEO Message – Rob Clark Your Chamber has been hard at work in
support of businesses, non-profits and community partners and will continue too
do so. From networking events to videos and email blasts to social media posts,
our goal is to bring as much awareness as possible to the Moose Jaw Business
community. This support is designed to be a critical driver of economic
recovery and resiliency for our local economy. Your feed back matters! Help us identify
needs and issues we can plan for a healthier business community. LIVE. LOVE.LOCAL. Shop Small. Shop Moose Jaw. As we head into the summer shopping
season, remember our small businesses in your purchasing and planning. Small
business creates jobs and opportunities for our workforce and are an integral
part of our local economy. Think Moose Jaw First. Before you purchase a gift or needed supplies, consider local, many
have online options and can help you find what you need. Follow Moose jaw & District
Chamber of Commerce and local businesses on Social
Media and post reviews. Use the Moose jaw & District
Chamber of Commerce online directory to research
local businesses by category or keywords to find what you need. Spread the word about the importance of shopping Moose Jaw year-round. Encourage
your employees, friends, and family to visit local businesses. For every dollar spent approximately
70 cents stays in the local community, by shopping Moose Jaw, you are
making a difference. The Moose Jaw & District Chamber of Commerce applauds the work of
Burns & McDonnell and developers of SaskPower’s Great Plains Power Station. Not to be overlooked are the
significant contributions that the Great Plains Power Station makes to our
local communities through outreach initiatives which includes many charitable
organizations, scholarships, food security, youth programs as well as up 500
employees during the construction stage can be expected, providing economic,
fiscal and workforce impact that could have an overwhelming effect on our
community. Like any community we thrive on the
input from investments and developers in our area. Great Plains Power Station is
playing their part with site local content, as of end of April: ·
Local Moose Jaw companies Utilized/Purchased from: 101 ·
Total Moose Jaw Workers: 143 or 20.23% ·
Total local Charities/Donations/Sponsorships:

& McDonnell, SaskPower, and their site contractors; this is good news for
our community and a win - win situation.
